just something i thought up
words are powerful weapons when formed and used for the betterment of mankind and not as weapons of mass destruction. what you say can be more damaging than what you do.

A nice counterbalance to the old cliche, "actions not words". personally, I don't think it's either words or actions that are the problem, it's the "intention". A candlestick in one man's hand may lead us to safety through the darkness; in another it can be the blunt tool he uses to murder us in the dark.
Again, more thought provoking stuff coming from you!
snakebite - thank you for stopping by. i'm always honored when a new person stops by. i'm happy the reads will make you want to continue to visit.
lehane - somehow you seem to manage to make things dark...lol. Jokes aside, your point is extremely valid and it makes one look at things from various perspectives. Thanks for your insight.
You're right again. No matter how much a person apologizes or how hard you try to move on from an incident involving harsh words, they still linger in your mind and haunt your soul.
I agree. Words have so much power and people often don't realize this! Wise words, my Sistah! Wise words!
rayne & urban - i know it sounds odd, but i'd rather be hit and get over it than have the words regergatate themselves in my head and heart.
You mean the motive, Lehane.
Many know this, Blu, but choose not to follow the warning.
I used to get called everything but the child of God when I was little and it hurt like hell. I later asked why and I was told it was because I was too young to get a beating. That f-d me up for a while cause it took so long for me to get over that. I would have taken the beating cause I probably would have gotten over it a lot easier.
Thanks for the reminder.
Oh, I'm not sure if you know of her, but her name is Rhiann Benson and she has a song called Words Hurt Too. Great song!
No, Susan, I definitely mean the "intention". Sometimes acts of evil, whether spoken or enacted, need no motive, the soul purpose is the evilness of intent.
Hmmmmmmmmmm...words are as powerful, we can't live without them, because of words we are able to love, hurt and heal
